Delegations of Authority

Q: What is the President's Delegations of Authority Library?

A: The President's Delegations of Authority Library maintains records of the delegations of authority. You can search the library and obtain copies of the Delegation of Authority records. You can also obtain copies of the Chain of Delegation record for each authority, which shows from whom and to whom the authority has been delegated. For example, President Bruininks has delegated the authority to enter into affiliation agreements, which permit interns to work at area hospitals, to Senior Vice President Frank Cerra who has re-delegated that authority to Dean Deborah Powell. President Bruininks'authority covers the entire University. The delegation to Senior Vice President Cerra is limited to the Academic Health Center and the re-delegation to Dean Powell is only for the Medical School. You can view this Delegation of Authority Chain and Delegation of Authority record by searching AD01 and Medical School.
